DRAGONFLY

Background

People who are planning to move to a new place are often

overwhelmed by the logistics, time, money, and change that

accompanies a move, therefore they spend far too much time

procrastinating than taking steps toward their move.

• How might we make packing a lot easier so that people might not run into surprises later on?

• How might we bridge the gap in communication between team members?

• How might we help people gauge how much work to anticipate and how might we properly help them organize their tasks and time?

• How might we help people streamline their inventory and selling/disposal process?

Audience

I was a few months into working on this app when I ironically decided it was time for me to relocate. When I started working on this project, I wanted to make it a one stop shop for all things moving, from figuring out where you want to go, to organizing your inventory and calendar, to building a community once you're at your destination. I quickly realized the scope of this undertaking, and decided just go focus on the organization and inventory aspect of the move since that’s the part that every user needs to deal with across the board. When I decided to relocate, I became the user, and as a pleasant result I was able to firsthand figure out the features of my app in real time.
